Hearty 4 Meat Pizza With Jalapenos

If you are craving something that will fill you up, and you love meat, this is the pizza recipe for you. Featuring sausage, pepperoni, beef, and Canadian bacon, it is a great treat for watching the game, family gatherings, or just about any other special occasion. Just make sure you have a big appetite ready for this meal – it is not for the faint of heart.

The recipe below is for making this meat pizza from scratch, and includes directions for the crust. However, people short on time can choose to substitute their favorite crust recipe or a premade commercial crust instead. Just pick up the directions after the crust has been made. Do not skip pre-browning, however. It makes a big difference in the texture of the final product.

Spicy 4 Meat Pizza For Big Appetites

Ingredients –


2 ¾ to 3 ¼ cups all purpose or bread flour
1 package active dry yeast (not instant)
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup warm water (~ 120 degrees F)
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil


¼ pound ground beef
¼ pound Italian or pork sausage
1 cup onion, chopped
3 oz pepperoni, sliced
1 cup Canadian bacon, chopped
1 cup sweet green pepper, chopped
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
¼ cup parmesan or Romano cheese, grated
sliced jalapeno peppers to taste


¾ cup onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 14 ounce can of tomatoes, chopped
1 8 ounce can of tomato sauce
1 bay leaf
1 tablespoon fresh basil
1 tablespoon fresh oregano
1 teaspoon fennel seed, crushed
½ teaspoon white sugar
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper


Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large, heavy pan over medium heat. Add ¾ cup chopped onion and garlic, cook until onions become translucent. Stir in tomatoes and sauce, herbs, sugar and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer thirty to forty minutes. When finished, discard bay leaf.

In a large bowl, combine yeast, salt and 1 ¼ cups of flour. Add two tablespoons oil and warm water, then beat, scraping bowl continuously, until smooth. Use a large wooden spoon to stir in as much remaining flour as possible, until a dough is formed. Turn onto lightly floured surface and knead in remaining flour to produce a medium stiff, elastic dough with a smooth texture. Divide in half and allow to rest ten minutes.

Grease two eleven to thirteen inch baking sheets or pizza pans.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

Roll each half of the dough into a circle twelve to fourteen inches across on a lightly floured surface. Transfer to pans and build edges up to create edge crust. Prick with a fork and do not allow to rise. Bake for ten to twelve minutes, or until surface is lightly browned. Remove from oven and set aside.

Heat a large skillet over medium high heat and brown one cup chopped onion with ground beef and sausage until onion is tender and meat is cooked through. Drain fat. Spread pizza sauce over crusts and sprinkle with beef and sausage. Top with pepperoni, pepper, and Canadian bacon, then sprinkle with cheeses. Add jalapeno peppers on top. Bake ten to twelve additional minutes, until cheese is melted and sauce bubbles.
