Deep Dish Pizza with Pepperoni
This deep dish pizza recipe is simple to make and is a really hearty dinner. There is nothing complicated about making deep dish pizza and you might even find the mixing and kneading to be a stress reliever!

Pepperoni Pizza Deep Dish Style
Ingredients –
⅔ cup water
½ teaspoon garlic salt
½ teaspoon onion salt
1 teaspoon each basil, oregano and marjoram
¼ cup vegetable oil
1 ¾ cups flour
1 package active dry yeast
4 cups shredded mozzarella
½ cup pizza sauce
¼ cup parmesan cheese
½ lb pepperoni, in slices
Preparation:
Mix the yeast and water and add a cup of the flour.
Add the oil and seasonings and beat until smooth. Add more flour until the dough is soft. Turn it out on to a floured work surface and knead for 5 minutes until the dough is elastic and smooth.
Put it in a greased bowl and turn to coat. Let is rise for an hour then punch it down and roll into a 15 inch circle.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Put the dough in a deep 12 inch ovenproof skillet and spoon the pizza sauce over it.
Add half the mozzarella, half the pepperoni, and half the parmesan.
Repeat the layers and then fold the crust to make a rim around the outside. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until the crust is golden.
