A Real Chicago Pizza Sauce Recipe

A Real Chicago Pizza Sauce Recipe

We all know that true Chicago pizza features a deep, buttery crust, lots of cheese, and a chunky tomato sauce. Without any of those elements, the pizza just would not be the same. However, many restaurants claiming to offer Chicago pizza do not use the right sauce! That makes their offerings pretty disappointing.

Without a good Chicago pizza sauce recipe, you are just not going to be able to capture that classic flavor. Relatively simple, this distinctive type of pizza is one that just says Chicago. Many pizzerias in the Windy City do not make the sauce before assembling the pizza – instead, they just layer these ingredients together. However, making the sauce in advance allows you to store some for later, making pizza baking much easier in a hurry.
