The following pizza dough recipe uses salt and sugar for flavor, as well as flour, water, salt and oil to make it doughy. You can top this pizza with whichever toppings you fancy.

Pizza Hut’s Dough Recipe

Ingredients –

1 ⅓ cups water
2 teaspoons sugar
2 tablespoons cornmeal
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 ¾ teaspoons instant yeast
1 ¼ teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cups unbleached all purpose flour

Preparation:

Combine the water, salt, sugar, baking powder, and olive oil in a bowl. Stir to dissolve the sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the yeast and flour.

Knead for about 10 minutes to form a soft dough.

Rest, covered, for 45 minutes.

Deflate the dough and let it rest for another 15 minutes before using.

You can keep this dough in an oiled plastic bag in the refrigerator for a couple of days.

To cook, preheat the oven to 500 degrees F.

Sprinkle the pizza pan with the cornmeal and set the dough on the pan.

Top the pizza with your choice of toppings and place in the oven, immediately turning the heat down to 450 degrees F.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
