Great Ranch Pizza Sauce Recipe

Great Ranch Pizza Sauce Recipe

Ranch sauce is a very common alternative to the same old tomato pizza. We all love the zingy, tangy flavor of a good ranch sauce, and it goes particularly well with toppings like chicken and caramelized onions. A good sauce is half the battle when it comes to putting together a good pizza, after all.

This sauce prevents the problem that occurs with some oil based commercial ranch dressings in a bottle. They taste great cold, but when you put them on a pizza, all you get is an oily mess! Making your own ranch pizza sauce from scratch gives you a level of control you cannot get using a bottled dressing. It may take a little extra effort, but in the end, it is worth it.

Perfect Ranch Pizza Sauce

Ingredients –

½ cup mayonnaise
½ cup buttermilk
4 teaspoons white sugar
1 teaspoon white or cider vinegar
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped fine
½ teaspoon fresh dill, chopped fine
¼ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp salt
½ tsp ground black pepper

In a small bowl, combine all ingredients until mixture is smooth.

Refrigerate one to two hours to allow flavors to mix completely.

Top pizza crust with sauce just as you would using a tomato sauce.

(Makes 1 cup, or tops 1 to 2 pizzas)
