A Recipe For Bread Machine Pizza Dough (2 pound size)

This recipe for bread machine pizza dough takes a lot of the annoying work out of homemade pizza crust. It makes two pounds, or enough to make two medium sized pizzas. Of course, that will change, depending on how thick you like your crust. This dough can be refrigerated or frozen, and is excellent in calzones and Stromboli.

If you decide to freeze your pizza dough for later use, just make sure you defrost it well in advance of use, to allow it to rise correctly. This is a simple, easy bread machine pizza dough that will let you have pizza at home a lot more often. The whole family will love it!

Bread Machine Pizza Dough Recipe

Ingredients –

¾ teaspoon salt
4 cups all purpose flour
1 packet active dry yeast
1 ⅜ cups warm water
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Preparation:

Mix all ingredients in bread machine and operate on dough cycle.

When this cycle is completed, punch dough down to remove air bubbles and remove it from the machine.

Coat a large bowl in olive oil and place dough inside.

Allow to rest a few minutes and roll out to desired size and thickness.

Top with usual toppings, sauce, and cheese.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F and bake pizza until crust is brown and cheese has melted.

(Makes 2 pounds, or about two medium pizza crusts)
