Custom Search Thick Crust Meat Feast Pizza
Meat feast pizza is a tasty combination of sausage, ham, pepperoni, vegetables and more sitting on a wonderful thick crust pizza crust. This meat pizza is easy to make and if you like meat, you will love the richness of it. If you are going to use self rising flour in the pizza dough recipe, this will give the same results but make sure you leave the salt out.
Feel free to add any other meat you like, such as turkey, chicken, or ground beef and any other vegetables such as corn, spinach, fresh tomatoes, or zucchini. Because the dough is so puffy, you can be flexible with the amount of ingredients you use for the pizza topping because this meat feast pizza holds a lot.
Thick Crust Style Meat Pizza
Ingredients –
1 package active dry yeast
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 cup warm water (110 degrees F)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 ½ cups all purpose flour
½ teaspoon each basil, marjoram and oregano
2 cans tomato sauce
1 lb ground sausage
10 slices pepperoni
3 slices ham, chopped
1 onion, chopped
½ cup button mushrooms, quartered
¼ cup shredded mozzarella
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
Dissolve the yeast in the water and stir in the salt, sugar, vegetable oil, and flour. Beat well and let it rest for 20 minutes.
Press this dough into the bottom and sides of a 14 x 2 inch round deep dish pizza pan, which has been lightly oiled.
Bake for 10 minutes. Brown the ground sausage in a skillet, add the tomato sauce and herbs, and simmer for 5 or 10 minutes.
Spread this sauce over the crust and top with the ham, pepperoni, onion, mushrooms, and cheese.
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, and then rest for 10 minutes before cutting into wedges.
